With just two away games on Saturday the sublime turf of Poplar Road will host a neutral League Cup match for the SSEC.

The Ruts welcome both the teams and supporters of their visitors and cordially invite them to make use of the Bar/Clubhouse whilst they are at the Ruts, may the best team win!

Meanwhile back at the Ranch (or not as the case may be)... the Ruts teams have away-days all around... The 1st XI travel to Tolworth again to take on Cheam V.W FC looking to make amends for defeats earlier in the campaign. The 2nd XI also hit the road to Croydon to take on Trinity Reserves. Best wishes to the teams. The 3rd XI have a weekend off.

The Vets visit Sutton Athletic on Sunday morning at 10.30am.

Milestones reached in 2011/12

Craig Lyle made an amazing 600th Appearance for the Club on 26/11/11. Nigel Watford finally made his 500th Appearance on 11/09/11 after being stuck on 498 for several years, following his move to Somerset, 'Waffle' showed real commitment by travelling up to Poplar Road to help Erol's 3rd XI on numerous occasions. Steve Berry made his 450th app on (14/01/12), Andy Flanagan made his 200th App on 05/11/11, John Wood made his 200th App on 11/12/11, whilst Richard Lines made his 200th last weekend 07/01/12. Matt Blomeley made his 150th App on 22/01/12. Dean Riordan (16/07/11) and Iain Higgins (06/08/11) both joined the Ruts 100 Club last Summer.

Old Rutlishians AFC (Old Ruts) is made up from amateur sportsman from the local area, the friends and relatives of existing players, as well as former pupils of Rutlish School, Merton.
